Random Thoughts

We have somehow produced an entire generation of young people who have absolutely no motivation or initiative to improve their own situation. Achieving even the bare minimum translates into super-human effort for them….and they often fall short of the minimum.

No ambition beyond paycheck to paycheck for meals, rent, necessities….and then often overspend on those things not crucial to their existence….only stuff they “gotta have”.

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day, but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, unalterable through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematical plan of reducing us to slavery.”
-Thomas Jefferson

  1. People often say that they want a President with whom they can share a beer. So they elect Obama.

With this pick, your ‘beer’ (mid-line @ his favorite restaurant) is $!8.95. If you decide to eat with him, it’s gonna cost you another $150 or so, assuming you’re smart enough to go dutch.

Then again, if you voted for Obama, you didn’t expect Dutch….you expected somebody else to pay for it….and still do.

We’re going to pay top shelf taxes over the next 4 years, but I’m afraid all we’ll have to show for it is the ‘House Beer’.

    🙂

  2. It seems to me that articles on Obama and his administration have FAR fewer comment fields on news sites than they did during the election.

Could it be that his HYPE has died down and people actually see where he’s hell-bent on digging us deeper into an economic hole while filling the pockets of his Wall Street buddies?
